Survivors of Ectopic Pregnancy

Hi

I'm Charlotte, 33 years old and living in London with my partner of 9 years and our two year old son. We have had a chequered history ttc, resulting in 3 miscarriages, 1 NVD and 2 ectopics resulting in the loss of a tube, in that order, over 3 1/2 years.

We are currently ttc again, and although the risk of ectopic is now lessened, having had the offending tube removed, our chances of conceiving are significantly reduced. Apparently my left side doesn't ovulate quite so regularly...

I have been extremely lucky with both ectopics in that I was early (first 6 weeks, second 9 weeks) into the pregnancies and very well looked after as my previous miscarriages have put me in the high risk category. The Early Pregnancy Unit I go to know me well unfortunately ;-)

I would be interested to hear others stories. I am surprised (but I guess pleased) by how few members this comunity has!

Hi Charlotte :)
Welcome to our small little group. So sorry about your 2 etopic's. My right tube was removed and now ovulating is so speratic. My cycles are so strange. TTCing has been a struggle for us as well. We have two daughters through adoption. But we are holding out for hope that one day we'll be able to concieve. Again welcome and I'll leave you with some ****Baby Dust******.

I hope you don't mind me asking - is your ovulation sporadic because of the removal of your tube? Before the ectopics I was lucky enough to get pregnant every time we tried (albeit with not spectacular results) but now, 6 months after the last (with three months off for medical safety) we are having no such luck. I presume this is because ovulation is sporadic.

I've never done an ovulation test before - maybe it's time to start?

Thanks for the welcome and the baby dust - both very much appreciated!

Yes, before the etopic, it was like clockwork every 14/15 day of the cycle. Now it's the 20th and sometimes the 27th, just strange. Do you have a chart on Fertilityfriend.com? It's a real helpful way to track your stats.

I don't have a chart anywhere as previous to recently I've been like clockwork too and never wanted to go down that road. I guess thinking lucky just ain't working anymore ;-).

Thanks for the advice; I will definitely check out fertility friend - I'll update when I have.

I'm Kim. I had a ruptured ectopic in Dec. and lost my left tube. We're in a holding pattern now on TTC. My husband is recovering from a liver transplant.

I'm currently temping and I just got a fertility monitor to help when we start TTC again in a month or so.

Hi Kim.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, as well as your husbands transplant. I hope you're both doing good.

So you got a fertility monitor too? I think maybe I'm missing out on something here...update from me when I've sorted it. I'm due in the next couple of days so I should be able to work from then.

Nice to meet you

Charlotte

Thank you Gayle.

I think we've all had a pretty rough time of it. I can honestly say that I'm still positive. My GP isn't as positive as me but I think I need to be to maintain any semblance of sanity! It can be easy to forget for a few hours but then just so easy to remember...

Thanks again for the welcome and of course, I wish you and all the other members success soon too.

My partner and I have been trying for a baby for over two years now, We were going to a fertility clinic for about 5 months before somebody told us to contact this spell caster who is so powerful, We contacted him at this email; babaka.wolf@gmail.com , for him to help us, then we told him our problem, he told us that we will either conceive in January 2013 or February 2013,but after two years of trying we were at a point where we were willing to try anything. And I'm glad we came to Dr Babaka, Because his pregnancy spell cast put us at ease, and I honestly believe him, and his gods really helped us as well, I am thankful for all he has done. contact him via email: babaka.wolf@gmail.com if you are trying to get a baby or want your lover back. he has powers to do it, he has done mine
